Manage Campaigns

So far in this chapter you have learned all about using the different types of Campaigns that are available to you in Mekashron. To finish this chapter, we will now give an overview of how you can manage your various campaigns using the Outgoing/Incoming Campaigns tab.

    1. The Inbox
    2. The Outbox
    3. Sent Items
    4. Deleted Items
    5. Drafts
    6. Summary

The campaigns management system is easy and intuitive to use, as it is organised in a similar way to an email system; each user with access to campaigns management who signs in to Mekashron will have In and Out Boxes and the other folders you would expect to see for a message management system.

We will look in turn at each of the folders and the options that are available to you in each one.

    1 - The Inbox

When you access the Outgoing/Incoming Campaigns tab, you will be taken directly to your Inbox:

Here you will find listed all of the incoming calls and faxes. The options you have in this folder are shown in the contextual menu which appears when you right-click on the grid:

    The available options include:

    • View - This option opens the Campaign Details form for you to view the details of the call.
    • View Message - This option opens the Mekashron Editor for you to view the message itself.
    • Set From - This option pops up the following dialog box:

Figure 1.3 – The From Dialog Box

... in order to allow you to specify the From name associated with the message.
    • Set To - When you select this option, you are offered a list of groups to select from:

Figure 1.4 – The Set To Group Options

Here you can choose one of your Mekashron groups to assign the message to. Once you have done this, then the message will appear in the inboxes of all the users who belong in this group. For more information on assigning your users to groups please refer to the Users Management chapter of this user guide.
    • View/Edit Entity - This option opens up the main Entity form of the entity that is associated with this message.
    • Delete/Cancel - This option deletes the message from your inbox and moves it to the Deleted Items folder.

    2 - The Outbox

The Outbox shows you the messages that are queued to be sent out.

    Figure 2.1 – The Outbox

Here you can use the contextual menu in a similar way to the Inbox to View the details of the campaign or to View Message details:

The Delete/Cancel option, the other option that is available in the Outbox, as you can see from the picture above, is slightly different than the same option in the Inbox. In addition to moving the item to the Deleted Items folder, this option also cancels the sending function and removes the item from the internal transmission queue.

    3 - Sent Items

When you wish to look at the campaigns that have been transmitted, you can navigate to the Sent Items folder:

The contextual menu available in this folder is shown below:

The View and View Message as as for the other folders, and the other option, Hide removes the item from the visible list.

    4 - Deleted Items

In the Deleted Items folder you can view messages that you have deleted from your other folders.

The contextual menu is similar to those in the other folders but you only have two options:

Figure 4.2 – The Deleted Items Folder Contextual Menu

... from here you can View the campaign details, or choose to View Message to see the message in the Mekashron Editor.

    5 - Drafts

In the Drafts folder you can view messages that you have started but not yet transmitted.

Figure 5.1 – The Drafts Folder

The contextual menu is the same as the one available in the Deleted Items folder:

... from here you can View the campaign details, or choose to View Message to see the message in the Mekashron Editor.

    6 - Summary

As we have seen, the Outgoing/Incoming Campaigns tab gives you an additional convenient way to view and manage your campaign messages, and if necessary to cancel the transmission of campaigns that are currently in the queue.
